Alternative hypothesis

This is the hypothesis in favor of which the null hypothesis is rejected; it is the hypothesis that remains tenable when that occurs. Any hypothesis that differs from a given Null hypothesis will be called an alternative hypothesis. An alternative hypothesis to the null hypothesis will be denoted as H_A.

Esta é a hipótese em favor das quais a hipótese nula é rejeitada; é a hipótese que permanece defensável quando a isso ocorre. Qualquer hipótese que difere de uma determinada hipótese nula será chamada uma hipótese alternativa. Uma hipótese alternativa para a hipótese nula será designada como H_A.
