Controlled Experiment
A controlled experiment is an investigation of a testable hypothesis where one or more independent variables are manipulated to measure their effect on one or more dependent variables. Controlled experiments allow us to determine in precise terms how the variables are related and, specifically, whether a cause-effect relationship exists between them. There are two types of controlled experiments: quasi-experiments and randomized experiments.

Um experimento controlado é uma investigação de uma hipótese testável onde um ou mais variáveis independentes são manipuladas para medir os seus efeitos sobre um ou mais variáveis dependentes. Experimentos controlados nos permitem determinar, em termos precisos, a forma como as variáveis estão relacionadas e, especificamente, se uma relação causa-efeito existente entre elas. Existem dois tipos de experimentos controlados: Quasi-Experimento e Experimento Randômico.
