Empirical Study

It is an act or operation for the purpose of discovering something unknown or of testing a hypothesis, involving an investigator gathering data and performing analysis to determine what the data mean. This covers various forms of research strategies, including all forms of experiments, qualitative studies, surveys, and archival analyses.
